Newly appointed Acting Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Ghana Shippers Authority (GSA), Professor Ransford Gyampo, has pledged to confront systemic challenges head-on in his new role, emphasizing that neutrality is not an option when addressing national concerns.
In a Facebook post following his appointment by President John Mahama, Prof. Gyampo made his stance clear: “There can be no neutrality when one is tasked with helping to right what is wrong in the service of the nation.”
Expressing appreciation for the opportunity, he acknowledged the support he has received and assured Ghanaians of his commitment to serving the country diligently.
“Thank you, Prez Mahama, and humbled by the many congratulatory messages. I’ll serve Ghana,” he wrote.
Prior to his appointment, Prof. Gyampo was a distinguished political science professor at the University of Ghana, widely recognized for his candid and independent views on governance and national affairs.
