The Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA) has officially launched the 2025 DV plates across all its operational offices in Ghana, incorporating state-of-the-art security features to curb counterfeiting and ensure the authenticity of the plates.

Julius Neequaye Kotey, the Chief Executive of DVLA, highlighted that the new plates represent a significant advancement in vehicle registration and licensing processes in the country. He emphasized the Authority’s commitment to utilizing modern technology to enhance security and provide added convenience to customers.

The updated plates are equipped with advanced security measures such as holograms, watermarks, and QR codes, designed to safeguard against unauthorized duplication and protect vehicle owners from fraudulent activities.

Vehicle owners, automobile dealers, distributors, freight forwarders, and agents can now obtain the 2025 DV plates from any DVLA office nationwide.

In partnership with the Motor Traffic and Transport Department (MTTD) of the Ghana Police Service, the DVLA has also issued a stern warning against the use or trade of counterfeit DV plates, with investigations underway to identify and prosecute offenders.
