Celtic have secured the loan signing of Ghanaian international Jeffrey Schlupp from Crystal Palace for the remainder of the season.
The 32-year-old, whose contract with the London club expires this summer, brings a wealth of experience to Brendan Rodgers’ squad.
“He is a fantastic guy with top-level experience and outstanding attributes like power, pace, and versatility,” Rodgers said. “I know he can be a really valuable addition to our squad this season.”
Schlupp, who won the Premier League with Leicester City in 2016, moved to Palace in January 2017. This season, he has made 16 appearances, all coming off the bench.
Throughout his career, Schlupp has showcased his versatility, featuring as a left-back, winger, midfielder, and even a forward.
Speaking about his move, he expressed excitement about joining the Scottish champions.
“The team has already performed brilliantly this season in both domestic and European competitions. I know I’m joining a successful squad, but I want to contribute, play my part, and help achieve even more,” Schlupp stated.
