Rev. Obofour Honors Late Mother, Describes Her Passing as ‘Beautiful’
The founder and leader of Anointed Palace Chapel (APC), Rev. Isaac Obofour, has paid a heartfelt tribute to his late mother, Nana Afia Pokuaa, highlighting her immense impact on his life and the lives of many others.
Speaking to his congregation, Rev. Obofour described his mother’s passing as a “beautiful transition,” dismissing any claims that she was bedridden before her death.
“Wherever my mother is, I know she is happy. She made a great impact—not just on me, but on many others. I may be popular, but my mother was even more famous than I am. If anyone claims she was bedridden, tell them to keep quiet,” he declared.
Rev. Obofour Reflects on His Mother’s Final Words
He went on to emphasize the inevitability of life and death, saying:
“It is appointed for every man to be born, and it is appointed for every man to die. No one has power over death. I only pray that God blesses me the way He blessed my mother.”
Rev. Obofour also recounted the emotional final moments he shared with his mother before her passing. According to him, during her last visit to one of his church branches, she subtly hinted at her impending departure.
“She was with us just last week and even visited our Kumasi branch. She donated clothes, took pictures with the congregation, and told them, ‘Watch me closely because you may not see me again.’ She even asked them to print a large photo of her to use when she passes away. She knew she was going to die.”
Nana Afia Pokuaa passed away on Thursday, February 27, 2025. The news of her demise was first shared by Rev. Obofour via a Facebook post on February 26, 2025.

The loss of Rev. Obofour’s mother has deeply touched many, with sympathizers offering their condolences and prayers. As the family prepares to lay her to rest, her legacy of kindness, generosity, and wisdom will remain an inspiration to many.
