Arsenal striker Kai Havertz is set to miss the remainder of the season after tearing his hamstring during the team’s training camp in Dubai, according to reports from The Athletic and other sources.

The German international has been instrumental for the Gunners this season, netting 15 goals and providing five assists across all competitions. His latest goal came in Arsenal’s emphatic 5-1 victory over defending champions Manchester City at The Emirates earlier this month.

Havertz’s injury comes at a difficult time for Mikel Arteta’s squad, who are already struggling with multiple key absences. Striker Gabriel Jesus remains sidelined with an anterior cruciate ligament injury suffered in Arsenal’s FA Cup defeat to Manchester United, further depleting their attacking options.

The Gunners are also dealing with setbacks in wide positions. Bukayo Saka has been out since December with a hamstring injury sustained against Crystal Palace, missing Arsenal’s last seven Premier League matches. Meanwhile, Gabriel Martinelli is facing an extended spell on the sidelines after picking up a similar injury in the Carabao Cup semi-final loss to Newcastle.

Currently sitting second in the Premier League, Arsenal trail leaders Liverpool by six points. Despite their injury concerns, they remain in contention for silverware, having secured automatic qualification for the last 16 of the UEFA Champions League.
