Fulham delivered a clinical performance to hand Leicester City their seventh consecutive Premier League defeat, intensifying the pressure on Foxes manager Ruud van Nistelrooy.
The loss leaves Leicester 19th in the table, with the Dutchman overseeing seven defeats in nine league matches since taking charge.
Emile Smith Rowe, making his 100th Premier League appearance, broke the deadlock for Fulham shortly after halftime. Smith Rowe displayed bravery as he dove in to meet Sasa Lukic’s flick from Harry Wilson’s cross, heading past goalkeeper Jakub Stolarczyk to score his fourth goal of the season.
Adama Traore doubled Fulham’s advantage in the 68th minute with a superbly taken side-footed volley that nestled in the bottom corner, leaving Stolarczyk with no chance.
Van Nistelrooy’s decision to substitute forward Bilal el Khannouss in the second half drew boos and chants of “you don’t know what you’re doing” from frustrated Leicester fans.
Fulham could have extended their lead earlier when Raul Jimenez missed a golden opportunity, heading wide with the goal at his mercy after Smith Rowe’s opener.
Both teams also had penalty appeals turned down, with Leicester’s Boubakary Soumare going down in the box and Traore’s later claims waved away by the referee.
Fulham substitute Rodrigo Muniz came close to making it 3-0 in the final moments, but his shot narrowly missed the target.
The defeat keeps Leicester stranded on 14 points, two points from safety, with a daunting trip to Tottenham up next. Fulham, meanwhile, climb to ninth in the standings, continuing their solid campaign under Marco Silva.
